Archives Project Update

I now have all of the scans processed so it’s just a matter of printing them. I have 44 scans but I’m going to pull 3 of them (one for being under aged, two for stylistic reasons). I’d like to hit 50 at least for the show which I should be able to do printing time wise. I have 21 of the large prints done and 30 of the small thank your prints done (5 of which haven’t picked up/dropped off yet).

The pillar is well on it’s way to completion. Sitting on the pillar itself at the moment trying to scrounge up funds for the acrylic part of it to be made. The cube is done and the internals prototyped but not polished up yet.

The text is still where I am lagging the furthest behind. It is really tedious work.

New Photos - Death Valley

Badwater flooded from snow melt

I went to Death Valley with two long time friends of mine. We had a marvelous time. Serendipitously we had a full moon for our time there so ended up doing about half of our hikes by moonlight. Death Valley is a park that really shines for night hikes. Badwater was also flooded from snows in the mountains a week and half before. Dante’s view was closed due to ice which was was a drag but everything else we wanted to do was open so I can’t really complain.

I was actually going to leave my gear behind but one of my friends is a photo enthusiast so along it all came. I’ve stopped taking my equipment with on a lot of trips. It’s more enjoyable to not have to worry about it and I don’t really do anything with my landscapes anymore.
